We're Cory and Kati — two sisters who fled the noise of the city for a different kind of life. Along the way, we found Harald, a quiet woodcarver who hates his cell phone and can build just about anything. Kati's son Logan is our teenage digital sorcerer-in-training and the only one here who actually understands TikTok. Her daughter Layne is a hard-working, goal-oriented young soul just starting her own journey — she's training to be a welder, and we're quietly hoping she'll bring those skills home one day to create something wild and wonderful on the homestead. Together on a stubborn patch of land on Manitoulin Island, we've been fighting to build something real.
We fought to buy this place when the housing market was chaos. We fought to keep it when life got heavy. We cared for our mom through dementia while the garden grew over and waited. And now — finally, this spring — we're planting. It's time to make the vision real.
The Wild Apple General Store is what happens when you stop waiting for the perfect moment and just open the doors. It's our workshop. Our front porch. Our way of sharing what we make with the world, one candle, one carved spoon, and one slightly unhinged social media post at a time.

Manitoulin Island here we come
We traded our old life for a fresh start, selling everything we owned to move to the island. We arrived with a couple of packed trailers, a lot of open sky, and some incredibly big dreams.
2022
Island Dirt
Officially landed. (Literally, we bought the land).

Full disclosure: Our feet are shaking, our internet connection is held together by island prayers, and we are entirely out of our comfort zone. But this spring, the vision is becoming real. We’ve brought Wild Apple online so we can share a piece of this dream with you. Please be gentle with us if the formatting looks a little "island-rustic"—we're much better at planting seeds than pushing pixels, but we're incredibly proud to finally open our digital doors.
