Hand Crafted items, What Actually Goes on at Wild Apple

If you’ve ever wondered what happens when a few creative souls, a couple of very opinionated shop pets, and a love for slow living collide on Manitoulin Island... well, you’re looking at it.

Welcome to the Wild Apple General Store blog!

For those who are new around here, we aren’t your average, run-of-the-mill online shop. We don’t do mass production, we don’t do corporate boardroom meetings, and we definitely don’t have a robot army packing your boxes (though a robot that sweeps up workshop sawdust would be nice).

Instead, we are stubbornly human. Here is a quick peek behind the curtain of what we are doing every day:

1. Crafting Goods with Guts

We believe the things you bring into your home should have a soul. Whether we are hand-pouring candles, working with textiles, or curating rugged, intentional gear for your homestead, everything we touch is built to last. If it doesn't have character, it doesn't make the cut.

2. Embracing the "Slow" in Slow Living

The world moves fast enough. We're here to help you hit the brakes. Our curated collection is all about intentional spaces—creating a home that feels like a sanctuary, whether that means a perfectly brewed morning coffee, a beautifully organized kitchen, or a workspace that inspires you.

3. Pleasing Our "Head of Security"

Let’s be honest: Hella and Lilith (our resident shop pets) are the real bosses around here. Every package that leaves our island workshop is strictly inspected by them for quality assurance (and potential treat residue). If your box arrives with an extra dose of good vibes, you can thank our furry management team.

The Big Picture

At the end of the day, Wild Apple is about connection. We wanted to build the digital equivalent of that old, creaky-floored general store at the end of a gravel lane—the kind of place where you stop to chat, appreciate the craftsmanship, and leave with something that makes your daily routine just a little bit sweeter.

Thanks for being part of the journey, for supporting independent makers, and for letting us do what we love.

Grab a coffee, look around, and make yourself at home!
